Dr. Naveed Yousuf is the Chair Department for Educational Development, Faculty of Health Sciences at Aga Khan University. He is also Associate Director, Assessment and Research at the Aga Khan University Examination Board and Assistant Professor, Educational Development at the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS), Aga Khan University (AKU).
He is an Honorary Advisor on Psychometrics for the Royal College of General Practitioners International (South Asia) Board and a member of the International Association for Educational Assessment (IAEA) Recognition Committee for developing international standards for assessments.
He has over 15 years of teaching and teacher training experience at both national and international levels, in regions as diverse as East Africa, the Middle East, and South-East Asia. He has several publications in books and indexed journals to his credit. Dr. Yousuf has also been on the Editorial Board for Education in Medicine Journal, Malaysia for more than seven years. Dr. Yousuf obtained his Ph.D. in Medical Education, focusing on Assessment Psychometrics and Standard Setting at the University Ambrosiana (Italy) in 2014 and a Master of Business Administration in Health and Hospital Management from the Institute of Business Management (Pakistan) as well as Advanced Diploma in Health Professions Education, Bachelors in Medicine and Fellowship on simulation-based assessment, test development and generalizability theory from the University of Illinois at Chicago (USA).
His experience and interests are primarily in the areas of curriculum development, assessment psychometrics and standard setting, educational research, and academic leadership.
