Prof. Dr. Shahid Mahmud Malik
Prof. Dr. Shahid Mahmud Malik is the Pro-Rector of Health Sciences at the University of Lahore. He is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon by training. He completed his undergraduate medical education at the King Edward Medical College, Lahore, Pakistan in 1982. He completed his training at The Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, London & University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. He became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1989. As the chairperson curriculum committee at UCMD, he is actively involved in the undergraduate curriculum. He has been involved in the mentorship program, as a mentor for the past four years, and takes immense interest in mentoring young students. His passion for medical education knows no bounds, he actively participates in the medical education conferences and he is the Chairperson ICHPE.
