Professor Madawa Chandratilake, MBBS (Colombo), MMEd (Dundee), Ph.D. (Dundee) is the Chair and Professor of Medical Education at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. He has specialized in Medical Education. At present, he is the Head of the Department of Medical Education at the same university and the Head of the UNESCO Bioethics Nodal Centre in Sri Lanka. He is President of the College of Medical Educationists, Sri Lanka. He is a prolific researcher and published author with several contributions to book and book chapters. Dr. Madawas’ areas of expertise are Faculty Development, Assessments, Teaching and Learning, and Research in Medical Education.
